Adult education is offered Sundays during the 10 a.m. education hour. Called “Upper Room” classes, these sessions take place in the fifth floor classroom and begin at 10:10. Sunday, Feb. 5: “Lost Worlds: Jesus’ Jerusalem” This video looks at what the city might have been like in Jesus’ lifetime. Sunday, Feb. 12: Learn morea about how Elim can support ELCA Global Missions. Sunday. Feb. 19: Identity Theft: Learn tips and tools for dealing with this growing problem. Sunday, Feb. 26: No class. Please attend the Luther Park breakfast instead.
Several Bible studies are held weekly at Elim. A Men’s Bible Study meets at 7:30 a.m. on Thursdays and a Women’s Bible Study meets at 9:30 a.m. on Thursdays. Both studies are led by Pastor Chris Enstad.
Wednesday night activities include a Bible study opportunity. A new Bible study begins Feb. 5led by Pastor Bishop Howard Hadley of Monument of Faith Christian Center. His topic is “Love, Hope and Caring.” This study takes place from 6:15-7:15 p.m.
Book Club selects a book to read each month, then gathers at 4 p.m. on the second Tuesday evening of the month to discuss the book. The next meeting will be February 14 to discuss “Little Bee” by Chris Cleve.
