This FALL, Wednesdays through December 4, 2019 at 6:00pm in Elim’s Parlor (following dinner hour in the gym)
What is Alpha? Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is a space to explore life’s big questions, to say what you think and to hear other people’s points of view. Elim will hold other Alpha sessions again this winter season. TABLE TALKS | “The Bible is alive,” declared Martin Luther, “it speaks to me; it has feet, it runs after me; it has hands, it lays hold of me.”

Martin Luther was known for having relevant conversations about scripture & faith around the table in his home.  Inspired by this practice, we periodically convene thirty-minute “Table Talks” immediately after the 9:15am Sunday service. These facilitated Table Talks are relevant conversations about how that day’s scripture readings can be interpreted considering our Lutheran perspective.
We use this summary WHO WE ARE: OUR COMPASS as a reminder of our Lutheran identity and guiding principles.
