Mark Hayes Concert at Elim | THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON, February 16, 2020 | 3:00pm
The Elim Choir, Mary Gossett – Choir Director, Nicholas Davis – Vocals, and Dick Balkus -Director of Music, will be celebrating the music of Mark Hayes in concert at 3pm in the Elim Sanctuary.  Mark Hayes is a contemporary composer and arranger of Christian vocal and piano music.  If you enjoy “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” “His Eye Is On The Sparrow,” “Lean On Me,” and “This Little Light of Mine,” be sure to join us Sunday, Feb. 16 at 3pm!

Elim Participates in the Congregational Vitality Project: The Congregational Vitality Project started as a way to better understand how congregations are living out God’s mission in their contexts. Frustrated by the limitations of measuring vitality only by attendance and contributions, our denomination began work in 2009 to develop a better measure.  The ELCA research department developed a simple, statistically reliable and valid survey that looks at the outcomes of ministry in terms of how a congregation connects with God, each other and the world. This survey helps us understand what factors contribute to or distract from vitality.  It will help us intentionally address those factors, improve vitality in our congregation and live out God’s mission for us.
We will distribute this survey to those attending worship this Sunday at both the 9:15am and 11:00am services.  Time will be allotted for the completion of surveys during our regular worship time.  To include others, we will also send a congregation-wide email with instructions for completing the survey online today by 4pm and have the survey available for completion after church on Sunday, February 23 and Sunday, March 1.
